Tadahiro Koto

A seitai practitioner who teaches other practitioners. He works with clients in Tokyo and Fukuoka, and he is the reason the six sensei on this site are here.

Why his recommendation carries weight.

He still does the work.

He runs his salons himself and still sees clients with his own hands. What he recommends comes from someone who knows the work from the inside.

He teaches people who do this for a living.

His seminars cover cranial work, whole-body technique, joint range of motion and muscular anatomy.

He has watched these six work.

These aren't names from a list. He taught them directly and checked their skill himself. Kazuaki Kawada, for one, has attended his study groups without a break since 2020.

He turns people down.

Students ask to be listed, and not all of them are. Koto says it has nothing to do with who he likes. He looks at skill, character and what they have built over time.

“I only list practitioners I can say, without hesitation, I would trust with my own family.”

It started with people he couldn't keep seeing.

Clients came to his Tokyo salon from all over Japan. Some rode the Shinkansen every month. Some flew in from Hokkaido or Okinawa.

He works alone, so he has very few openings for new clients. For more than ten years, he felt sorry about what those long trips cost people. So he began telling them something simpler: “It's okay. There's someone you can trust near you.” Those introductions became Solechika.

What a recommendation isn't.

It isn't a license, and it isn't a promise of results. Seitai is not a nationally licensed profession in Japan, and it doesn't replace a doctor.

It is one experienced teacher telling you who he would trust. You can decide what that's worth to you.

Can I see Koto himself?

You can ask, but openings for new clients are very few. That's a large part of why Solechika exists. Write to koto@solecka.tokyo with the salon and dates you have in mind.
